The Soon to be Mrs Houghton

The days since we started planning the wedding have gone past in a whirl of decisions, discussions, budgets and bargains.

There is now 10 days to the day with 50 guests, a 5 pm ceremony and a 3 course meal that we selected with the help of the brilliant chef at Stanwell House.

The thought of being married is totally mind blowing. Even trying the dress on last Sunday was still not dawning on me, what the ivory dress means. Even the practice table layout, the working of out the table plan and the typing of the menu still has not sunk in. It is still feeling like it is a party, which is cool. I am sure when the dress goes on and the room goes quiet before I walk in it will.

Roll on the 29th August 2008.

Preparing for the Big Day

We are on the count down to the big day. The venue is booked, the save the date cards have gone out, the dress is bought and the the hen night is booked.

Wedding Details
Date - 29th August 2008
Venue - Lymington, Hampshire UK
Guests - 50 invited
Plan - Civil ceremony, drinks, meal & more drinks

We wanted to be relaxed, enjoy the day and keep things to a happy number so that we can see everyone and relax with no requirements or big expectations of lots of people, lots going on and no excessive extras that we do not want as part of our day.

Lots of people have a big church do, cars, huge numbers of photographs, huge enterages and the traditional meal, disco, buffet, etc. This is not us and as we were told we should do what we want to do and keep it our da, which we have done.

This is going to be a fab day and we are really looking forward to it.
